AtlasX is an EVM blockchain based protocol that is built to move the carbon credit registry to the blockchain. It is deployed on the Celo blockchain and has been officially endorsed and funded by Celo.

This protocol is composed of 4 smart contracts that communicate together in order to allow for the core information from carbon credit projects to be moved to the blockchain. The actual carbon storage calculation is performed on chain and tokens are minted to represent the result. This completely eliminates the ability to double count and allows for perfect transparency and traceability.
